Two groups overlap here. What Dutch and EU rules give you
Under the GDPR, as implemented in the Netherlands through the AVG, you can ask any platform what it holds about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, and ask for deletion. Sensitive information — religion, caste, health, sexual orientation — has extra protection, which is why Lagnora treats those fields as voluntary and never infers them.
Two practical consequences on this website: the marketing site runs cookieless analytics and stores nothing on your device except an explicit Light/Dark theme choice, which is why there is no consent banner, and the privacy page names the company, the address and how to reach a human. Note that the same rules cover localStorage and similar browser storage, not only cookies, so "we use no cookies" is not by itself a complete answer from any service. Is Lagnora available in Dutch?
The public website is English-only for now. Dutch translation catalogues stay in the project for a future native-quality review. Existing /nl addresses redirect to the English page with the same slug.
Do I have to live in the Netherlands to join?
No. Lagnora is for South Asian adults across the EU and EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway. The Netherlands is simply where the company is registered and where the first members are concentrated.
Which Dutch cities does the waitlist recognise?
The city field is backed by a generated dataset of Dutch municipalities and towns rather than a short curated list, so smaller places are recognised as well as the big four.
