1. Be your real self

Use one profile, recent photos that represent you accurately, and information that is honest about who you are and what you are looking for. Do not impersonate someone else or create a misleading profile.

2. Respect where people are

Members come from different backgrounds, languages, traditions and levels of religious practice. Curiosity is welcome. Ranking, belittling or pressuring people because of those differences is not.

3. Respect each person's family boundaries

Some members involve family closely; others prefer to keep the process private until later. Both approaches are valid. Never pressure someone to involve family, share private family information or move faster than they are comfortable with.

4. No means no

A decline is not an insult. If someone passes, asks you to stop, or no longer wishes to continue a conversation, respect that decision. Repeated unwanted contact may lead to account restrictions or removal.

5. Communicate in the language that works for you

Use a language both people are comfortable communicating in. Where translation support is available, Lagnora may help bridge language differences, but no one should be pressured to communicate in a language they do not understand comfortably.

6. Report, don't retaliate

Use the report tools if something feels unsafe, abusive, deceptive or inappropriate. Do not retaliate against someone for reporting or declining contact.

7. What may lead to removal

Harassment or threats of any kind.
Impersonation or fake identities — borrowed photos, invented life story.
Scams or requests for money from other members.
Hate speech, casteism, racism or religious abuse.
Sexual content or unsolicited sexual messages.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation, content involving minors, or any presence of minors on the platform. See our child safety standards.
Repeated unwanted contact after someone has declined.
Deliberate misuse of referral or promotional systems.

8. What we value

Respect, including when the answer is no.
Honest communication about intent and expectations.
Genuine curiosity about another person's background and life.
Cultural pride without hierarchy or superiority.
Thoughtful family involvement where it is mutually comfortable.
