What is Lagnora?
Lagnora is a serious relationship and marriage platform for South Asians living in Europe. Individual choice comes first: you decide who you speak to and how quickly things move. Family, culture and tradition can have a place in the process when you choose to involve them.
Who can join Lagnora?
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a marriage or a committed partnership in your country of residence. During the early-access phase, membership is limited to residents of the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway.
Is Lagnora a dating app?
Not in the casual sense. Lagnora is built for people looking for a serious relationship or marriage, so the experience is designed around intent and conversation rather than swipe culture.
Is Lagnora only for Indians?
No. Lagnora is for South Asians living across Europe. Members come from different backgrounds, languages, traditions and levels of religious practice, and our community guidelines are explicit that curiosity is welcome while ranking or belittling people for those differences is not.
Can my parents or family use Lagnora?
Family involvement is optional and member-controlled. Through the Family Circle you can invite trusted family members when you choose, and they can see only the specific items you grant them, for as long as you grant them.
Does my family control my profile?
No. Your profile, your conversations and your decisions remain yours. Family members you invite can support, suggest and ask questions where you allow it, but the decision stays with you.
How does identity verification work?
Identity and age verification is being introduced as part of the member onboarding process: eligible member access will require you to confirm your identity and age through an approved identity-verification provider. We store the verification outcome and a minimal audit record rather than keeping raw documents longer than needed. The specific provider will be confirmed before public launch.
Does verification guarantee a member's intentions?
No. Identity verification helps reduce impersonation and misuse, but it cannot guarantee a member's intentions, behaviour or relationship status. Use your judgement when interacting with someone new, and meet in a public place the first time.
Can divorced or widowed members join?
Yes. Lagnora is designed for people approaching relationships with clarity, respect and long-term intent, whether that is a first marriage or a new chapter after divorce or loss. Members are asked to be honest about where they are, and no path is ranked above another.
Where is Lagnora available?
Lagnora is built in the Netherlands for South Asians living across Europe. During early access, membership is limited to residents of the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway. Which cities and communities we open next depends in part on where waitlist interest comes from.
Is Lagnora available on iPhone and Android?
Lagnora is currently an invite-only beta on both iOS and Android. Join the waitlist and, once your place is reviewed, we will send the appropriate beta invitation for your device.
How do referral credits work?
You get a personal referral link. When someone you genuinely know joins through your invitation and completes the required verification, you may both receive Lagnora credits, and qualifying referral milestones may unlock selected launch rewards. Referral and promotional rewards are subject to eligibility requirements and fraud checks, and may be withheld or cancelled in cases of duplicate, connected, reciprocal or suspicious account activity.
What are Lagnora credits?
Lagnora credits are in-platform credits that may be purchased, granted as part of a promotion, or earned through eligible referral activity. They are non-transferable, have no cash value and are not a payment instrument. Unused credits expire after 24 consecutive months of account inactivity, and we notify you before that happens.
How is my privacy protected?
We collect only what the service needs and tell you why at the moment we ask. Member data is stored in Microsoft Azure, region North Europe, with primary hosting in Frankfurt, Germany, and is not transferred outside the EU/EEA. We never sell or rent personal data. Analytics run on Plausible, which is cookie-free and stores no personal data, and crash diagnostics through Firebase are anonymised and contain no profile content. Our privacy policy sets out the GDPR legal bases we rely on and the rights you can exercise at any time.
How do I report inappropriate behaviour?
Use the report tools if something feels unsafe, abusive, deceptive or inappropriate, and block anyone you do not want further contact with. Please do not retaliate against someone for reporting or declining contact. You can also write to support@lagnora.com.
