Terms of service

1. Acceptance

By creating a Lagnora account, joining the waitlist or using any part of the service, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use Lagnora.

2. Eligibility

Lagnora is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a marriage or a committed partnership in your country of residence.

During the Founding phase, membership is limited to residents of the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway.

3. Account

One account per person. You may not impersonate anyone, create an account on behalf of someone else without their written consent, or hold multiple profiles.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe, and for the activity that happens under your account.

4. Prohibited conduct

• No harassment, threats, hate speech or repeated unwanted contact.
• No fake profiles, borrowed photos, invented life stages or misrepresented marital history.
• No commercial solicitation, recruiting, spam or promotion of other services.
• No requests for money, gifts or financial help from other members.
• No sexual content, and no content involving minors.

5. Content

You own the photos and text you upload. You keep every right you had before uploading them.

You grant Sagous B.V. a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to store, display and transmit your content inside Lagnora, for the sole purpose of running the service. We do not use your content in advertising and we do not display it outside Lagnora.

6. Credits

Credits are a prepaid feature currency. They are non-refundable, non-transferable, have no cash value and are not a payment instrument.

Unused credits expire after 24 consecutive months of account inactivity. We notify you before that happens.

7. Termination

You can leave at any time and delete your account from the app.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or our community guidelines. Where the law allows, we tell you why and give you a route to appeal.

8. Disclaimers

Lagnora facilitates introductions between verified adults. We do not guarantee an introduction, a conversation, a relationship or a marriage.

Verification reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. Use the same judgement you would use meeting anyone new, and meet in public the first time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid to Sagous B.V. in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Dutch consumer law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are heard by the competent court in Amsterdam, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

11. Changes

We give at least 30 days' notice by email before a material change to these terms takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account before it applies.
