Community guidelines

1. Be your real self

One profile per person, recent photos of you, and a bio that is honest about who you are and what you are looking for. Nobody needs a polished version of you — they need the real one.

2. Respect where people are

Members arrive from different life stages, cultural backgrounds, languages and levels of religious practice. Curiosity is welcome. Ranking people by any of it is not.

3. The Family Circle is sacred

Some members involve family, others do not. Both are normal. Never pressure someone to add a family member, share family details or explain their family situation before they are ready.

4. No means no

A pass is not a rejection, and a decline is not an insult. If someone passes or stops replying, let it rest. Repeated contact after a decline is grounds for removal.

5. English, Tamil, Dutch, Hindi or Punjabi

Write in the language you are most comfortable in. Nobody has to perform fluency here. In-app translation is coming so more members can read each other directly.

6. Report, don't retaliate

Every profile and every conversation has a report button. Use it. Our team reviews reports with an audit trail, and reporting is confidential from the person you report.

7. What gets you removed

• Harassment or threats of any kind.
• Catfishing — fake identity, borrowed photos, invented life story.
• Scamming or asking members for money.
• Hate speech, casteism, racism or religious abuse.
• Any presence of minors on the platform.
• Sexual content or unsolicited sexual messages.

8. What we celebrate

• Kindness, especially when the answer is no.
• Genuine curiosity about someone's life.
• Cultural pride without hierarchy.
• Humour — the quiet kind that makes a stranger relax.
• Honesty about intent, timeline and where you are in life.
